Kites were the art focus of the day. They decorated the table and over thirty were visible throughout the house. You can see the heads from two Chinese dragon kites staring at you from the table.
Here you can see a dove which is a replica of the doves flown at the Sydney Olympics. The blue butterfly is from China, and the multi-colored butterfly was purchased in the US.
The quartet is performing during the informal portion of the event. Patrons roam the house, enjoy conversation and complimentary food while the quartet plays in the background.
The Dragon Kite is from China and is not quite fully extended. It is over thirty feet long from head to the end of its tail.
Today's foods included roasted tomato soup, crab stuffed mushrooms, sweet and spicy deviled eggs, inside out sandwiches with prosciutto and arugula, spinach balls, fresh fruit salsa, Frango mint mini-cheesecakes, and more.
A flock of sparrows and a huge yellow bird kite from Indonesia adorned one side of the eating area.
Before the background music starts people dig in and quartet members mingle with the patrons.
A spectacular butterfly from Indonesia fights for air space with a tri-plane. Don't miss our June performance, "Summer Fancy". You never know what you will find when you arrive, but it is guaranteed to be different.
