About Our String Quartet/Trio
QUARTRIO is a professional string quartet from the Clinton and Quad Cities area. The name reflects the mixing, matching, or switching of instruments, with the group performing either as a quartet or a trio.
QUARTRIO has been playing together for the past 4 ½ years.
The quartet has opened Clinton's Arts in the Arboretum summer music festival for the past four years. The quartet has been active in the Clinton Chamber series as well as playing several benefits for the
Quad Cities Arts program. Their newest venture, Salon Classics, will feature some of the greatest music ever written for small string ensembles. The music will be played in intimate venues for small numbers of guests in an attempt to recreate the way this music was often first experienced.
